Acting on the recommendation of the Chairman and Members of the Sub-committee on Internal Rules, the Supreme Court, on April 27, 2010 resolved to approve A.M. No. 10-4-1-SC or the "2010 Rules of Procedure in Election Contests before the Courts Involving Elective Municipal Officials." For municipal election contests, these rules supersede A.M. No. 07-4-15-SC (The Rules of Procedure In Election Contests Before The Courts Involving Municipal and Barangay Officials) which became effective on May 15,2007 .
