On 13 November 2008, Libertas sponsored a Round Table Discussion on Updating the Legal Framework on Elections at the Sarmiento Hall, 1st Floor, University of the Philippines College of Law. Atty. Luie Tito F. Guia delivered his paper outlining the areas for electoral reforms.
Ms. Beverly Hagerdon Thakurn discussed the International Legal Framework on Elections, in behalf of Ms. Linda Edgeworth, who unfortunately was not able to attend the event.
Commissioner Leonardo Leonida and other officials of the COMELEC attended the event along with representatives of civil society organizations.
